Thanks to the range of different oscillators, i see them as the most important factor for the evolution of computers. Had it not been for oscillators, we would still be running the complete computer as a calculator, where the change of instructions would be based on manual input, and in turn human time.
The reason why now a days computers can perform operations faster and more efficiently than most humans is because they have been made to realized the value of each clock-cycle, the differential measure of time realization for a computer, which is now millions of times smaller than a second, it's counterpart human measure in real life, and dedicated to performing operations without hesitation and pauses, continuously in a flow.
Stating the above, if a machine can become so powerful with just the realization of TIME and forced dedication, just imagine what human beings can achieve if they realize the value of their time and become as dedicated to goals in their life!
